Letters show Newton-Leibniz controversy faked, 2007

Bill McKeeman found this article in the Mathematical Association of America's Math Horizons, April 2007, regarding newly-discovered letters from Leibniz to Newton.

It appears that Newton inititated a fake priority dispute over Calculus, with Leibniz's collaboration, but both were secret motivated to punish Johann Bernoulli, Leibniz's "mediocre" student.

In return the younger Bernoulli was responsible for the poisoning of Newton in 1693, for which he framed Leibniz, which made Newton escalate the war into charges of plagiarism.
